At the time,  12/20/18 — I had a change of mind and did not want to contribute anymore to a Roth IRA. If the above scenario has ever  12/10/18 — In December 2016, I was not able to open a Roth IRA. But this did not affect the rollover of my  12/11/18 -- I made a contribution to my Roth IRA and was required to pay taxes on this contribution.
